Jinja East By-election Exposes FDC weakness Yet Again

On Thursday March 15th, the Electoral Commission declared FDC candidate, Paul Mwiru, elected as MP for Jinja East constituency. Since then, opposition gurus have been congratulating themselves on a “big win by the people.” Which people? Yet the results, when properly analyzed, expose the weakness of the opposition in Uganda-and how/why they consistently lose elections.

Friends and Abazukulu (grandchildren), I write to convey condolences to Mutabani (son) Magara and family on the brutal murder of our grand-daughter, Susan Magara.

She was kidnapped on February 7th near her home, at night. I was informed about the problem on February 18th when I came back from Arua-Koboko-Nebbi.

Susan's murder shows what sort of swine (pigs) we have in Africa that do not value treasures like the beautiful Suzzie whom, unfortunately, I had not had the opportunity of meeting.

The African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) is an active regional Peace support operation run by the African Union with the approval of the United Nations.  It was created by the African Union’s Peace and Security Council in January 2007 and on the 20th February 2007; the UN Security Council authorized the AU to deploy the mission to Somalia.
