American filmmaker Nikita S. Adams met Uganda creatives to help them understand the art of pitching and sourcing funding for their movies.

Adams heads TV development at Folding Chair Productions, which has a multi-year deal at Warner Bros. Television with a focus on streaming and network television, along with feature films.

"I love Africa for its unique and interesting stories, but the way you tell your story is key. Therefore, the reason why I am here is to empower Ugandans to transform their unique, rich, and interesting culture into a lucrative business venture," Nikita said.

The local film stakeholders gathered at Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) House in Bugolobi, Kampala on Tuesday, November 15.

Adams traveled to Kampala with Oyoma Caviness, a renowned content creator currently working with SpringHill as the head of digital.

"Oyama, who is also a travel enthusiast will be engaging with stakeholders in the tourism industry as she explores opportunities of promoting 🇺🇬 as a tourist destination for international tourists," UCC said in a statement.
