Newly appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police Brig Sabiiti Muzeeyi is set to pass out 609 Kampala Metropolitan Police officers,who have undergone a 2-months security management training.
The function,which is Brig Muzeeyi's first public activity as D.IGP is taking place at Kigo Marine Police base in Wakiso District.
Acting Kampala Metropolitan police spokesman Luke Owoyesigyire says the training is under the recently adopted police arrangement requiring each directorate to train it's officers.
"The trainees have undergone a two-months and three weeks training in martial arts,marksmanship, political education and public order management," Owoyesigyire said.
At the time of this publication, Brig Sabiiti who is the guest of honour had arrived and the function was underway.
