CAA Probes Alleged Theft of Fuel from Traveler’s Car at Entebbe Airport

Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) has instituted a thorough investigation on allegations that some staff connived to siphon fuel from a passenger’s parked car.
This was after a one Robert Sebunya in a social media post revealed how fuel was reportedly siphoned from his car parked at the Long Term Car Parking at Entebbe International Airport.
In a statement, UCAA says that whereas this anomaly was not instantly reported at the Airport before exiting the parking, which would have aided immediate investigation of the matter to its logical conclusion, they have nevertheless instituted a team to probe the allegations.
“Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) instituted a thorough investigation, including review of the CCTV footage and establishment of contact with the passenger for more information,” the statement reads.
“The Authority appeals to the general public and users of Entebbe International Airport to instantly register feedback on any anomaly that may be experienced while still at the airport.”
UCAA is a government agency responsible for licensing, monitoring, and regulating civil aviation matters.
