CDF Discusses Military Cooperation with UAE Prince
The Chief of Defense Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who is also the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, held a meeting this afternoon with a delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The delegation was led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, a member of the Dubai ruling family.
The meeting took place at the Special Forces Command Headquarters in Entebbe, where discussions centered on enhancing military cooperation with the UAE, according to a message from the CDF's office.
The message further noted that the UAE is a vital trading partner and a strategic ally of Uganda, reaffirming the significance of the bond between the two nations.
Indeed, Uganda and UAE enjoy cordial and mutually beneficial relations, characterized by several MoU’s signed in various fields and exchange of high-level visits.
Regarding trade for example, Ugandan exports to UAE reached $2 billion for the first time in 2022.
The Commander of the UPDF Airfoce Lt Gen Charles Okidi also attended the meeting.
