Deputy Speaker Tayebwa Loses Relative in Road Accident
A prominent Kabale businessman, Mark Bahati has perished in another fatal road accident involving a boda boda on the Kampala Northern bypass.
According to Traffic and Safety directorate spokesperson, Faridah Nampiima, Bahati was being ridden by a motorist, identified as Mubarak Barugabare on a motorcycle who got involved in an accident with motor vehicle registration number UAQ 927S, driven by one Geoffrey Magala. The accident took place at the Namungona flyover on the Kampala-Hoima Road on Monday afternoon.
Bahati who is the brother-in-law to Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa was pronounced dead on arrival at Nakasero Hospital. Tayebwa expressed grief saying his family was completely shattered by the Bahati’s untimely demise.
“My brother in-law Mr. Bahati Mark has died in an accident today morning. We are shattered as a family. He was our pillar. Always there for us. Burial arrangements will be announced later. Keep us in your prayers,” Tayebwa tweeted last evening.
Mark Bahati Kanagizi is son to William and Flavia Kanagizi, a prominent business family in greater Kabale.
