The Commander Land Forces Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has announced that the UPDF is set to recruit 2,000 officers.
In a tweet Saturday evening, Gen Kainerugaba noted that the recruitment is based on the instructions of the Commander in Chief.
"As Commander Land Forces of UPDF and on the instructions of the Commander in Chief, I declare that we need 2,000 graduates in the next recruitment. We shall ensure they are the right people for the job. They will serve our great country just like we did. God bless Uganda!" Gen Kainerugaba who is also the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations said.
After assuming the office of CLF recently, Gen Kainerugaba said that one of his key priorities would be to improve the capabilities of the Land Forces among others.
