President Yoweri Museveni has urged the people in the country to live meaningful and responsible lifestyles to enhance their socio-economic development at all levels.

“To survive in Uganda is a challenge. People do not decisively know what to do. That is why they incidentally die, mostly being diverted by things that are meaningless: unscrupulous life, consuming alcohol and sedating themselves,” he said.

The President was speaking at the wedding ceremony of Isaac Rubega and Maj. Allen Atuhaire that took place on Saturday in the Church of Resurrection, Bugolobi, in Kampala.

He said that he had come to the young couple’s wedding because the bride, Maj. Allen Atuhaire, has shown exemplary management skills on her assignments that will be beneficial for her marriage and family.

“I have worked with Allen for a long time. She knows how to survive in life,” he said.

Rev. Steven Bamutungire, in his sermon, asked people to realize that marriage is a mission of submission between the married couples. “Choosing to love one another is a covenant of God,” he stressed.
