Ugandan singer Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool has scooped the prestigious best 2018 male East Africa Artiste AFRIMA Award.
The Gagamel Boss beat Tanzania's Diamond Platinumz at the awarding ceremony held in Accra Ghana on Saturday evening.
Bebe Cool's victory has sent a chill among opposition supporters who attacked the pro-NRM and President Yoweri Museveni singer on social media, vowing to vote for Diamond Platinumz. However some of them urged Ugandans to put political differences apart and vote Bebe Cool because he deserves the award.
The musician indeed didn't spare such haters and those that refer to him as arrogant.
"The process of achieving success is usually only understood by the successful and misunderstood by the unsuccessful. Most people misinterpret this process as arrogance, disrespect or as pride," Bebe Cool posted on social media.
Bebe Cool has been in the US for holidays and it's from where he flew direct to Accra for the awards ceremony.
He scooped the award in presence of his music rival and now politician Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine).
Bebe Cool becomes the second Ugandan artiste to win this award after singer Eddy Kenzo carried it home recently.
