Seven people have died while 17 others are nursing injuries following a motor accident in Buvuma district.
Patrick Onyango, the Deputy Police Spokesman says the accident at around 5pm on Friday occurred when a Dyna Canter Reg. No. UAR241M failed to negotiate a corner at Walwanda Mosque Junction.
"The victims are admitted at Buvuma Health Centre IV and Kawolo Hospital. The deceased are yet to be identified as most of their relatives have not yet arrived," Onyango said.
At the time of filing the story, bodies were still at Buvuma Health Centre IV pending claim by relatives.
Police blame the accident on over speeding which led the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
This is the third major accident in less than a week, including last Saturday's boat tragedy that left 33 dead.
Another road accident occurred at Kikorongo in Kasese district on Thursday involving Link Bus. 27 passengers were injured.
