High Court Judge Naiga Ayebazibwe Drops Dead at Her Home

KAMPALA. After going about her business normally on Monday, Lady Justice Jesica Naiga Ayebazibwe of the Family Division of the High Court dropped dead after complaining to her family members of feeling weak.

Justice Naiga  who is said to have been in good health went to bed to get some rest but was discovered lifeless hours later.

"We regret to announce the sudden passing of Lady Justice Jessica Naiga Ayebazibwe a short while ago at her home in Kampala. Further details to be communicated later! MHSRIP!" The Judiciary announced in a tweet on Monday evening. She was found dead in her bed at around 8pm. According to Judiciary Spokesperson Solomon Muyita, the deceased complained being weak at the time she went to bed.

A Law graduate from Makerere University, Justice Naiga was appointed Judge by President Yoweri Museveni in 2014 alongside David Matovu, Patricia Basaza Wasswa, and Margarate Mutonyi.

She is survived by three children and a widower Peter Bananuka.
