President Yoweri Museveni has this afternoon addressed the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party caucus and guided them on how to carry out consultation works on the pending ‘Age limit’ Bill.
According to Government Chief Whip Ruth Nankabirwa, Museveni also backed the NRM MPs’ decision to amend the Constitution that among others intends to lift the cap on presidential candidates.
“We have never met him as cabinet ever since we took such a decision to support Hon Magyezi’s private member’s Bill. But today, we informed him about the decision and he is in support of the cabinet decision,” Nankabirwa said during a press conference.
She added that Museveni urged NRM MPs to consult well and desist from splashing money among the people, but rather use the money to serve its purpose.
Apparently, the facilitation is for MPs’ to hire venues, public address systems and for refreshment for the masses.
