“I am a great supporter of President Museveni because much as he is the president of Uganda, his heart is in the region. His experience is invaluable, as well as his strategic leadership in putting the continent together,” said Mr Ruto.
He added that the region has an immense opportunity to harness his wisdom and leadership for consolidating the East African Community (EAC) and The Tripartite Free Trade Area (TFTA) adding that without President Museveni the region wouldn’t be where it is today.
“He is very clear on matters East African Community and has provided invaluable leadership. With leaders like him around, I am optimistic even a political federation is possible,” Ruto added.
