President Yoweri Museveni has today paid his last respects to the former Minister of Tourism, Maria Mutagamba, at the Parliamentary building lobby in Kampala.

Parliamentary Speaker, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, 1st Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Leader of Government Business in Parliament, Gen. Moses Ali and the Government Chief Whip, Ruth Nankabirwa, received the President.

Mr. Museveni, who laid a wreath on the casket of the late Maria Mutagamba, later met family members of the fallen former Minister at the Parliamentary Building. The family members included her children Martin Mutagamba, Marian Mutagamba and Michael Mutagamba. Others in the meeting were Mr. and Mrs. Muthiani, Mr. Paul Kyabaggu and the Deputy Head of Public Service Commission, Ms. Hilda Musubira.

The late Maria Mutagamba, 64, died 3 days ago in Kampala at Case Hospital after succumbing to liver cancer. She will be buried tomorrow in Rakai district.
