KAMPALA. President Yoweri Museveni has met and held discussions with a delegation of 5 investors from Hungary, led by their country’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Istvan-Joo, who called on him at State House, Nakasero on Wednesday.
The Hungarians who included their country’s Ambassador to Uganda, Mr. Laszlo Mathe, are interested in partnering with Ugandans to promote further the development of a diversity of areas in the information technology sector.
The President welcomed them to Uganda and advised them to partner with scientists from Uganda so that they also build an automotive industry in the country to produce solar car batteries that have vast market opportunities not only in East Africa but the entire African continent.
Mr. Museveni further advised them to consider investing in human medicine that he observed has wide market in the country.
The Hungarian Deputy Minister, Mr. Istvan-Joo, on his part, thanked President Museveni and the NRM Government for ensuring security in Uganda adding that it is an essential element in encouraging foreign investors to come into the country.
