
Owobusobozi Bisaka's Body to be Preserved for Future Viewing
Following his death, the current leadership of the Unity faith, says their founder Owobusobozi Bisaka will not be buried. Instead, his body will be treated and then kept in a special house in the compound in Kagadi, for future viewing. The revelation came during a special prayer session to pay tribute to the late Bisaka.
Only a selected number of people were allowed to see off Bisaka's body to this house.
Bisaka died on the 13th of January 2021 at Aga Khan hospital in Kenya, following an unspecified lengthy illness at the age of 91 years. Finance Minister Matia Kasaijja, who is also area MP represented the government.
Mr Kasaija read a message from president Museveni in which Owobusobozi was described as a unique and gifted religious leader.
‘‘Passing on of Owobusobozi Bisaka has robbed the faith of unity of a great religious leader who used his spiritual gift to bestow healing, guidance and care to his followers. During his lifetime, he was able to attract a big following of believers who profess total commitment to his religious teachings and worship rituals. The late Owobusobozi Bisaka utilized his platform as a religious leader to promote good morals and discipline among his followers,’’ Mr Museveni said in a speech read by Mr Kasaija.
‘‘I urge you to continue upholding the path of righteousness and good conduct which he preached. He will be remembered for mobilizing his followers to support government programs geared towards social-economic transformation,’’ Mr Museveni added in his message.
