After Uganda's early exit in the CHAN competition held last month, all football eyes have now shifted to the home top flight league; The Azam Uganda Premier League.

The second round of the tournament returns this Saturday, 10th Feb 2018 with six opening fixtures on card across various turfs.

BUL FC who are in the 12th position with just 8 points in the 16 team table will host URA FC at Kakindu Stadium.

The tax collectors will head to Kakindu with their heads high after recently securing signatures of seven players who are Derick Ochen, Moses Sseruyide, Godfrey Ssembatya, Deboss Kalama, Harman Wasswa and Charles Odeke.

High spending URA FC are currently 7th in the table with just 20 points and managed to score just 14 goals in the first round and coach Nkata is hopeful that the new re-enforcements in his army  will sharpen his attack.

At the Betway Green light Stadium in Arua, Onduparaka who stormed the premier League last season with a bang will host relegation bound Express FC.

KCCA, Vipers, Villa and many more teams have tasted defeat at the Green light and despite the Red Eagles proving financial power during the break, the Caterpillars are set to pluck their feathers again.

With just seven points behind SC Villa who are table leaders, Onduparaka will have to confirm their title credentials and more over against a misfiring Express side.

At Kavumba Recreation Grounds, Soana will welcome Vipers who have vowed to claim the title in this campaign.

The Venoms brag of an organized structure on their side and the fact that they are the only side with an overseas coach.

At the Lugogo Star Times Stadium, Proline will welcome Kirinya Jinja SS who are inspired by a free scoring Musa Esenu.

However, Proline are motivated by the return of scrappy mid fielder, Gift Ali who terminated his stay at Police FC.

At Bugonga, league debutants, Masavu FC will host rock bottom place UPDF FC.

Actually, both sides are in the chopping board for they are all in the drop zone and there is no doubt that it will be the battle for the wounded.

At Masaka Recreation Grounds, league leaders SC Villa will welcome Maroon FC who despite their status, managed to clinch the sixth position by the end of the first round.

Meanwhile, Mike Mutebi's boys will not be in contention for the opening game because the 'Kasasiro' boys are set to roll the ball at the CAF Champions League in Madagascar.

KCCA FC safely arrived in Madagascar on Thursday night and vowed to register success.
