87 Ugandans repatriated from Europe, US

According to the ministry of foreign affairs, 40 were repatriated from Germany, Poland, Austria, the Vatican, Czech Republic, and Hungary.

A total of 87 Ugandan nationals and legal residents who were stranded abroad due to the Covid-19 pandemic returned home on Saturday evening.

According to the ministry of foreign affairs, 40 were repatriated from Germany, Poland, Austria, the Vatican, Czech Republic, and Hungary.

The other forty-seven were from Russia, the United Kingdom(UK), the United States of America (USA), and Canada.

The two groups met in transit and boarded KLM Airline flight from Tegal International Airport, Berlin, and arrived at Entebbe International Airport at 11:15pm.

Over 3000 Ugandans have been repatriated since the exercise commenced in June.
