He also noted that Busoga is not only blessed with talented sportsmen and women but also great artists like the late Mowzey Radio and Rachel Magoola among others.

"I mention all this because I want the young people to know that you can use your talent and become a very successful person," Gen Kainerugaba said, adding that the government will continue to offer a supportive environment for all talented Ugandans to thrive as it has been doing.

"I want to thank, in a special way, the Kyabazinga of Busoga and his cabinet for development some of these cultural sites in Busoga," Gen Kainerugaba noted, urging the visiting teams to take off time off their sporting activities to enjoy the tourist attractions in the area.

The General assured the visitors and Ugandans at large that Uganda is calm and peaceful, commending the works of the security forces for the great work.
Speaking to the sports personalities, Gen Kainerugaba urged the players on the quality of competition citing legendary sportsman Mike Marshall's words: "victory is in the quality of competition and not the final score."
