Gen Kaineurgaba Lashes at Opposition MPs Over Muhwezi Censure Motion

The Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations and Commander Land Forces Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has said that the Security Minister Maj Gen Jim Muhwezi is doing a great job, coordinating security agencies in the country.

In a series of tweets, Gen Kainerugaba wondered why some people are harassing Hon Gen Muhwezi despite the tremendous work being done against ADF terrorists that were becoming a threat to Ugandans.

"Why are people harassing Honourable Afande @jkmuhwezi over so-called 'torture' cases when I can announce right now that since Operation Shujaa began on the 30th of November 2021 we have killed no less than 1,000 ADF terrorists!" Gen Kainerugaba said in one of the tweets Wednesday evening.

In an earlier tweet, the CLF had noted that Gen Muhwezi is the best Minister to hold his current office, crediting him for his advice regarding operations against ADF among other tasks.

"General Jim Muhwezi is the best Minister of Security Ever! He is doing a Great Job in coordinating all the various security agencies and he has been guiding me in Operation Shujaa!" Gen Kainerugaba noted.

It should be remembered that 81 Members of Parliament mostly belonging to NUP and FDC have so far signed the motion to censure the Minister of Security, Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi. The Opposition says they want to censure the minister for allegedly abdicating responsibility in the face of alleged torture of Ugandans by security officers.

However, with the deadline of collecting signatures approaching the opposition scheme is assured collapse since the NRM which commands the majority has shunned the motion. For the motion to succeed, the plan to censure the bush war veteran required at least 176 signatures.

According to Gen Kainerugaba, the opposition scheme is diversionary and misguided.

"...Haha! Those clowns? Why censure a Maj. General when his superior a Lt.General is here?" Gen Kainerugaba noted in one of his replies under his tweet.

Meanwhile, Gen Kainerugaba noted that since the launch of Operation Shujaa, over 1,000 ADF terrorists have been killed.

"I, Lt. General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Commander Land Forces of UPDF can promise the people of Uganda that we have already killed 1,000 of the terrorists that attacked us in November. But to the people of North Kivu and Ituri, our joint operation is going to terrorize the terrorists," Gen Kainerugaba noted.

In a related tweet, the General said "that ADF made the biggest mistakes in their lives when they attacked our Parliament! We shall not stop killing them until our President @KagutaMuseveni tells us to stop!!!"

"I declared all of North, South Kivu and Ituri Christian lands! Jesus Christ demands that ADF immediately leaves His lands or otherwise they will be HELL to pay!!!" the General said in final tweet about the subject.
