Makerere announces date for 2020/21 Bachelor of Laws pre-entry exam

Makerere University will conduct Bachelor of Laws Pre-entry Examination for the 2020/2021 academic year on Saturday, October 3, Alfred Masikye Namoah, the university academic registrar said in a Monday statement.

The registrar says the university will ensure the Ministry of Health standard operating procedures (SOPs) to help prevent Covid-19 spread are observed.

“All candidates who applied to sit the Bachelor of Laws Pre-entry Examination 2020/2021 are hereby invited to come and sit for the said examination on 3rd October 2020,” he said, adding that the examination will commence at 9am.

During the examination, the following SOPs against the spread of Covid-19 will be observed:

- Measuring everyone’s temperature before accessing the examination venue

- Availing hand sanitizers in the examination rooms for use by all candidates

- Mandatory wearing of face masks by all candidates and examination officials

- Social distancing with candidates seated 2 – 4 meters apart from one another

- All windows to be opened to promote the circulation of fresh air

- Candidates will not be permitted to borrow items (pen, pencil, rubber, ruler, calculators) from each other.  

"Candidates are reminded to carry sufficient items needed to write the examination," the registrar advised.
