Makerere University announces reporting date for first-year students

Makerere University on Wednesday released it 2020/2021 academic year calendar, showing that first-year students will report to the institution on January 30.

They’ll then go through orientation, which will start on that day and run up to February 5.

Semester one will officially kick off on February 6 and end on May 8.

Students will get a holiday break of one week, lasting up to May 15.

The other part of the calendar is as follows:

Semester Two: Saturday: 15th May 2021 to Saturday 14th August 2021 (13 weeks )

Recess Term: Saturday: 14th August 2021 to Saturday 11th September 2021 (4 weeks )

71st Graduation Week: Tuesday: 16th March 2021 to Friday 19th March 2021
