
Museveni Meets UAE President to Discuss Investment
President Yoweri Museveni held a meeting with the UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
In a tweet sent out Tuesday morning, President Museveni said he congratulated Nahyan upon assuming the new office and also condoled the former UAE president
"It was a pleasure meeting @MohamedBinZayed. I, on behalf of Uganda, congratulated him on being elected President of UAE and extended our condolences to him and the people of UAE on the loss of their former President Sheikh Khalifa.," President Museveni tweeted.
"We later discussed matters of mutual interest to both nations and their peoples, especially in the areas of investment and doing business together."
Museveni, who is on a three-day official visit to the Arab nation also attended the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Summit, which started Monday, and ends on January 19.
During the summit, he joined other stakeholders to discuss how to confront the problem of climate change and strengthen collective action for a sustainable future.
