UPC National Chairman Okae to be Buried on Thursday

The body of the late Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) national chairman Lawrence Okae will be laid to rest on Thursday.

Okae passed away on Monday morning at about 10:00 am on Monday morning at Naguru Hospital where he had been hospitalised with pneumonia. Okae was born in Gweri sub-county, Soroti district.

According to the tentative program, the body will arrive at his Kibuli home, Kampala tomorrow, Tuesday afternoon at 4pm for viewing and mass. The body will be transported to Soroti on Wednesday morning, for a requiem mass at St. Immaculate Conception, Soroti, starting at 1pm and thereafter to his ancestral home in Gweri.

Mzee Lawrence Engirot Okae will then be laid to rest on Thursday.
