Brig. Nyakikuru Replaces Brig. Charity Bainababo as Deputy SFC Commander
President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Brigadier General Asaph Nyakikuru Mweteise as the deputy commander of the Special Forces Command, succeeding Brigadier General Charity Bainababo.
This website understands that Brigadier Bainababo was recently sent to the National Defence College (NDC) for further studies.
Nyakikuru, who was promoted from the rank of Colonel to Brigadier two months ago, has been serving as the commander of the Special Forces Commando Force.
He possesses extensive experience in special forces operations.
Nyakikuru has participated in critical commando operations in Somalia, South Sudan, the fight against the Allied Democratic Forces in western Uganda, and the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in Northern Uganda.
