Five high school students emerged winners in a tourism essay writing competition sponsored by Unicaf University. The best essay was written by Mohammed Shabir from Greenhill Academy who won a full scholarship to Unicaf University, $150 (about Shs540,000) and a tablet.

The European Union (EU) affirmed its commitment to enhancing cooperation with Uganda in supporting the country’s tourism sector.

East African Community (EAC) Partner States have been called upon to cooperate in packaging and promoting tourism investment opportunities and incentives in the region through different fora. 

Miss Tourism Uganda has announced queens from Busoga that will face off with those picked from different parts of the country. 

The winner is Ishany Siriman Mwonda, the first runner-up is Shakira Kadhanah and Joan Florence Namwende was the second runner-up.
