The East African Community is already preparing for the second EAC Regional Tourism EXPO (EARTE’22) that will be hosted by Burundi in Bujumbura from September 23 – 30.

Uganda is set to participate in the IMEX, the largest trade show in Europe for the meetings and events industry. 

The event, which brings together global event planners and buyers with significant buying power is slated for May 31 - June 2 at the Messe Frankfurt.

The Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities has partenered with local investors in the hospitality industry to launch what they dubbed as Easter holidays getaway packages aimed at encouraging more Ugandans to visit local tourist sites and support the sector.

The ministry of Tourism revealed Thursday that Uganda saw tourist bookings triple in the first quarter of 2021, increasing from 27542 at the end of august 2020 to 83464 by end of March 2021.
