EAC Armed Forces Arrive for Joint Military Training Exercise

Members of the Armed Forces and key civilian agencies from the six East African Community Partner States have arrived at the Uganda Rapid Deployment Capability Center in Jinja for the joint military training exercise.

The six contingents, each comprising of sixty participants on Monday completed the accreditation process, briefing and camp set up ahead of the official opening ceremony on November 7, 2019.

The training will be executed in phases; with the exercise clinic running up to November 6, conduct of training will run from 07th-16th November 2019, while an after action review will be from 17th-20th November.

The training is code named "Ushirikiano Imara 2019". Maj Gen Sam Kavuma the Deputy Commander Land Forces (D/CLF) is its director.
