Eight Boda boda riders have been charged with torching office furniture and documents belonging to Boda boda 2010 whose leaders are in custody over the murder of Case Hospital accountant Francis Ekalungar .

The riders are Sula Lubega, the chairman of Boda Boda Century Co-operative Society, Farouk Muyomba, Godfrey Mubiru, John Bosco Yiga, Patrick Wamala, Hamza Kiggundu, Saul Katongole, and Johnbosco Ssebuwufu.

On Wednesday, Mwanga two Grade one Magistrate Allan Nyakana remanded them until January 31.

On Monday, the group and others at large set on fire Boda boda 2010 office furniture and documents.

According to Prosecution, this happened after the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) conducted a search at various offices of the Boda boda 2010 on the fateful day.

The group purportedly torched the property in Nateete, Bukesa and Makindye as they celebrated the arrest of Boda boda 2010 leader Abdallah Kitatta and some members, whom they accuse of torturing them on top of confiscating their motorbikes and extorting money from them.
