UCC to Enhance Broadcasters’ Skills

KAMPALA. Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has finalized preparations for this year’s Annual Broadcaster's Conference.

The conference which is expected to enhance broadcasters' skills will take place on June 28th, 2018 at Imperial Royale Hotel – Kampala.

The Communications regulator revealed this while releasing its weekly updates on Saturday.

In the statement, UCC also mentions some of its other achievements this week:

“Together with UN Pulse Lab, UCC hosted a dialogue on leveraging big data, data protection and privacy for the common good.

UCC supports film makers to attend, participate and share experiences at Zanzibar film festival

Rubanda pilot broadband Satellite project takes off. This is the second site after Ntoroko, launched earlier this year

UCC drums up support for Uganda’s election to the ITU through active participation at the African Telecommunications Union meeting in Algeria.  Uganda chairs a working group committee on Policy and legal issues.

We partnered with ICDLAfrica, a leading international computer skills certification, to equip SMEs with digital skills at Makerere College of Computing & Information Science.

UCC together with Ministry of Works held a dialogue with bus operators engaged in courier business.”
