According to Tumushabe, the assailants broke the glass door to enter the house, where they hacked the children to death. She identifies the children as; Barbara Atuhairwe(7 years),Oscar Alinganiza,(4 years), Lynette Ayinebyona (3 years), Davis Tulinomugisha (2 years) and Abwooli a one month old baby.
Tumushabe said the thugs first “locked one Gerald Akampulira, a relative in his room and they entered Tumwebaze's room where they found his wife, and they asked for the whereabouts of the husband and money.”
“But Tumwebaze was not in the house, he had gone to Kasese. They cut and killed the children, beat up the wife and took and dumped her into Kahompo stream, from where she was rescued,”Tumushabe further explained, adding that currently Tumwebaze’s wife is undergoing treatment at a private health facility in the area.
