President Museveni to Address the Nation on Wednesday

The first case of Ebola in Uganda was announced last week and, according to the ministry of health, 23 deaths have been confirmed so far.

President Yoweri Museveni will on Wednesday address the nation on wide-ranging issues, including the outbreak of Ebola in Uganda.

The address will be broadcast on all radios and television, according to Sandor Lyle Walusimbi, the president's senior press secretary.

The address will start at 8 pm.
 
President Yoweri Museveni "will address the Nation LIVE on Wednesday 28th Sept 2022 at 8pm to update the country on issues of National importance including the Ebola outbreak," he tweeted Tuesday morning.

The first case of Ebola in Uganda was announced last week and, according to the ministry of health, 23 deaths have been confirmed so far.

In a September 26 update, the ministry said two new cases had been confirmed, taking the cumulative number to 36. Two dead people were announced in the update.

There are currently 35 people admitted to the hospital, according to the ministry.
