The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, this afternoon toured key infrastructure projects in Kigali, including the state-of-the-art King Faisal Hospital Expansion Project.
The facility, which initially operated with 200 beds, is being expanded to accommodate 400 beds, complete with an ICU, VVIP wings, and a helipad.
The project is being implemented by Shelter Group Africa, which continues to play a significant role in Rwanda's rapidly growing construction sector, delivering landmark developments that support the country's long-term economic vision and infrastructure ambitions.
Gen Kainerugaba also visited recreational facilities, including the Nyandungu Eco Park—a high-end leisure and relaxation spot.
He also visited Parklane Estate, a luxury residential development located in the Gacuriro neighborhood of Kigali. This project was also delivered by Shelter Group Africa.
The CDF, who is in Kigali on an official visit, was given a guided tour of the projects by Mr Sam Dusengiyumva, the Mayor of Kigali City.
