Covid-19: NIRA Suspends Operations in Wakiso, Kawempe and Nakawa
The National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) announced Tuesday that it had closed it offices in Wakiso, Nakawa and Kawempe after some staff tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to NIRA, the temporary suspension of operations will last till June 8 after disinfecting the premises.
On that note, clients have been advised to access services from any other NIRA offices except for things like National ID issuance.

Uganda has so far confirmed 54,669 cases of Covid-19, 388 deaths, 47,760 recoveries out of 1,155,144 tests conducted. 748,676 people have been vaccinated against the virus.
