Gen Kainerugaba Hails Kyabazinga Gabula’s Humility at King’s Wedding Reception
General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the senior presidential advisor for special operations, and his wife Charlotte were received in Jinja on Saturday where they joined the Busoga Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV and his wife for a reception at the king’s palace following their wedding at Bugembe Cathedral.
As a gesture of celebration, Gen Kainerugaba presented the King and his newly-wedded wife with ten cows, stating that in Ankore tradition, the act of gifting a cow symbolizes a deep bond of family and friendship.
Gen Kainerugaba commended Kyabazinga Gabula's humility and down-to-earth demeanor, qualities he believes are unique and essential in a king. He noted that one could not tell Gabula is a king if met, for instance, outside Uganda.
General Muhoozi also expressed admiration for the Kyabazinga's exceptional leadership and shared that he values their discussions and regards the Kyabazinga as a source of brilliant ideas.
After his arrival, Gen Kainerugaba was warmly received by the kingdom's prime minister, Dr. Joseph Muvawala, before joining the newlyweds for dinner in the palace. Subsequently, General Kainerugaba and other guests were part of the official reception held in the palace gardens.
At the reception, the Kyabazinga extended his gratitude to his friends, led by Gen Muhoozi, for all the support they had provided and for sparing their valuable time to attend the celebration.
