Apparently, the Ministry received over Shs40bn in this Financial Year to operationalize over 100 seed schools.
Luboga in his report says that there are 2,542 vacancies in 82 operational seed secondary schools with each school expected to have 31 staff. Interviews will be conducted at the respective schools from 22nd February to 13th March 2021. Education Service Commission is also expected to recruit 554 teachers in 18 non- operational seed secondary schools whose construction were completed and have not been having teachers or students.
It is a government policy that each sub county gets a grant aided/seed secondary school to facilitate learning especially for poor families. Since the introduction of Seed Schools in 2010, Government has to date recruited 9,612 staff for a total of 356 seed schools.
