Centenary Bank has appointed Joseph Kiwanuka Balikuddembe as an executive director.
Balikuddembe, who kicked off his banking career in 1999 from the same microfinance institution – returns with over 20 years of experience.
Prior to this appointment, he was in the same role at United Bank for Africa (UBA) Uganda.
He also held a number of senior executive roles at ABSA Bank (formerly Barclays), including, head of Business Banking, Retail and Business Banking, head of Trade Finance, Corporate and Investment Banking and relationship manager in charge of Multinationals and Large Corporates, Corporate and Investment Banking.
Joseph Kiwanuka has also been at Stanbic Bank Uganda Limited, where he was a business manager in charge of Personal and Business Banking.
He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (Finance and Strategy) from the prestigious Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Agriculture from Makerere University (1998).
