Minister Ogwang Appoints New Board of Mandela Stadium

The Minister of State for Sports, Peter Ogwang has appointed new members of the Board of Directors of Mandela National Stadium Limited.

"In the exercise of the powers vested in me under the Memorandum and Articles of Association of Mandela National Stadium Limited, Article 36 and 37, I am pleased to appoint the following as the Chairperson and Members of the Board of Directors of Mandela National Stadium Limited with immediate effect," Ogwang's letter reads. 

In a letter seen by the Kampala Post, Ogwang has named Barlow Edward John Muwanga as the Chairperson of the Board. Other members of the Board include; Anne Abeja, Eng. Innocent Acheng Nkuyahaga, Claire Diana Angwech, Robert Bellarmine Okudi, Timothy Ronald Namboga and Ali Tagoole.

The appointment comes in the wake of the current renovation works inside the national stadium. The contractor UPDF Engineering Brigade is now putting final touches and is expected to hand over the stadium before the year ends.
