
Tourists' Attack: ADF Commander Charged with Terrorism
The alleged commander of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebel unit, Abdul Rashid Kyoto alias Tembo has been arraigned before Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court and charged with terrorism, murder and aggravated robbery in connection to the murder of two British tourists and their Ugandan guide at Queen Elizabeth National Park.
A 31 year old Kyoto, who is a former a resident of Suni Village in Budaka District eastern Uganda, was recently arrested by UPDF Marine Forces on L. Edward in connection to the murder that took place on 17th October 2023. Two of his associates were shot dead and others escaped in a boat.
It is believed that Kyoto and others, belonging to ADF terrorist group ambushed the Ill-fated British tourists; David James Barlow and Geyer Emmarentia Cecilia and their Ugandan guide Eric Alyai and killed them before setting their vehicle on fire.
