The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) will release the final results of the National Population and Housing Census 2024, following the preliminary findings which estimated Uganda’s population at 45.9 million. The comprehensive data will be unveiled on Thursday, 3rd October 2024, in line with the Census Roadmap and prior commitments made by the Census Commissioner, according to information from UBOS.

The results will offer a detailed overview of Uganda’s current demographics, housing patterns, and socioeconomic conditions. The census aims to answer key questions regarding the population’s size, geographical distribution, living conditions, ownership patterns, and access to services.

In addition to the release of the data, UBOS has organized a panel discussion featuring experts who will provide deeper insights and analysis of the findings. This forum will help contextualize the data, highlighting its implications for national planning and development.

The event, to be held at the Kampala Serena Hotel, will be broadcast live on television, radio, and social media platforms, ensuring nationwide access to the information.
