Allen Ssempa leaves Equity Bank for Pepsi Uganda job

Allen Ssempa has left Equity Bank where she had been serving as a senior marketing officer in charge of Communications to join Crown Beverages Limited (Pepsi Uganda) as a corporate communications manager.

In a phone conversation today morning, Ssempa said she left the bank, which she joined in July of 2019 -- because “a better opportunity presented itself."

Before Equity Bank, she had been a programs manager at the Uganda Advertising Association.

A holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Makerere University, Allen Ssempa will be charged with handling the beverage manufacturers’ relations with the media and authorities, promotion campaigns and CSR projects.

She replaces Tracy Kakuru Otatiina at the Nakawa-based maker of popular soft drinks like Pepsi, Mirinda, Mountain Dew, Nivana and Sting.

The company distributes its products to most of Uganda's neighbors, namely: South Sudan, DR Congo, Rwanda and Burundi.
