Cabinet Approves Eng. Christopher Ebal as NFA Board Chairman
Four members have been approved by the cabinet to join the Board of Directors of the National Forestry Authority (NFA), the Minister of ICT and National Guidance Judith Nabakooba said.
Dr. Eng. Christopher Ebal, who was previously the chairperson of the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC), where he was replaced by Eng. Badru Kiggundu – will be the chairperson of the Authority’s board.
The other three members are Tina Achilla, Chebet Charity and Abdullahi Hussein Shire, according to Minister Nabakooba.
The National Forestry Authority (NFA) was established under the National Forestry and Tree Planting Act 2001, as a Government parastatal responsible for the management of (506) Central Forest Reserves.
The NFA is under the Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE) and is headed by a Board of Directors appointed by the Minister. The Board of Directors is responsible, under the NFTP Act, for the proper management of the funds of the NFA.
