The Commander of Land Forces Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba received 10 cows of Inyambo breed (similar to the long-horned Ankole cattle) from the Rwandan President Paul Kagame during a visit at the latter's farm in Bugesera, a district in the Eastern Province of Rwanda.

Gen Kainerugaba, who is also the presidential advisor on Special Operations -- is on his second visit to Kigali following the one in February that led to the re-opening of the Rwanda-Uganda borders that had been closed since 2018, souring relations between the two nations.

Kigali and Kampala have accused each other of wide-ranging issues that they say are aimed at destabilizing each other.

The army chief arrived in Kigali for a three-day visit on March 14 and he was welcomed by President Kagame at Village Urugwiro.

Today he paid tribute to victims of the Tutsi Genocide at the Kigali Genocide Memorial in Gisozi. The site is home to over 250,000 victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi.

Gen Kainerugaba has also toured the Campaign Against Genocide Museum in Kimihurura (CAG), and the Kigali Arena, Rwanda's capital's major stadium for hosting basketball and volleyball competitions as well as concerts.

He was pictured shooting hoops in one of the nets in the Arena.
