Rwandan Military Intelligence Chief Lectures Senior UPDF Officers at Kimaka

The Rwandan Director of Military Intelligence Brig Gen Vincent Nyakarundi and his Ugandan counterpart, Maj Gen James Birungi Friday gave a lecture of opportunity to Military scholars at the Senior Command and Staff College - Kimaka in Jinja.

The two senior officers, on behalf of the Commander UPDF Land Forces took the scholars through a number of security matters especially regional and global issues.

They also talked about the importance of the blossoming relationship between Uganda and Rwanda.

The students mostly from Uganda are about to conclude a one-year course. Several scholars from Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Burundi are also part of the intake.

Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba commended Gen Birungi and Brig Nyakarundi for representing him.

"I thank the two Chiefs of Military Intelligence of Uganda and Rwanda for representing me at the Senior Command & Staff College (SCSC) in Jinja. As I have always said Uganda and Rwanda are one country!" Gen Kainerugaba said in a tweet Friday afternoon.

Brig Nyakarundi is leading a Rwandan military delegation which arrived in the country on Tuesday.

The Rwandan delegation has met Gen Kainerugaba among other senior UPDF officers.
