The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Kampala resumed issuance of visas.

The halt of visa issuance had affected tens of thousands of Ugandans, including women who travel to the western Asia nation for housework. Media reports showed there was a technical glitch in the system that processes visas.

Giving an update, Nanga Ramadhan, the general manager of VSC Global, said: "This is to inform you that visa services have resumed at The Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

All our services have resumed with immediate effect," he said. [VSC Global is a labour export company.]
