The Minister of ICT and National Guidance Dr. Chris Baryomunsi said the committee has been tasked to focus on “mobilization for milk production and value addition”.

Sandra Mugenyi Mwebaze will forward views of the Dairy Value Chain Development (Animal Nutrition), Vivian Jane Tumwebaze (Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development), Dr. Juliet Sentumbwe (Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries) and Jane Francis Acholoi (Women's Dairy Cooperatives Society).

Milk production in the country has increased from 2.5 billion liters in 2018 to 2.8 billion liters in 2020, a rise that is attributed to the expansion of milk collection centers across the country.
