The senior presidential adviser for special operations and Commander Land Forces Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba will personally be on the group in the DRC jungles to supervise final Manouvers of the Operation Shujaa.
Gen Kainerugaba who has been in Karamoja following a new wave of insecurity coupled with cattle rustling urged Congolese not to be worried about the ADF Terrorists anymore.
"My Congolese brothers and sisters should not fear ADF. I'm coming soon to DRC to make my headquarters there, if my two Presidents @KagutaMuseveni and H.E. Tshisekedi accept. If they accept I will supervise the last manoeuvres of our very successful Operation Shujaa!" Gen Kainerugaba said in a tweet Thursday.
In a subsequent tweet, Gen Kainerugaba added: "General Rutagumirwa is coming to DRC, if my bosses accept. Mana yake ADF anatakiwa kuharisha sasa hivi!"
In November last year, Ugandan and Congolese armed forces launched an offensive against the ADF, which is just one of more than 100 armed terror groups accused of destabilizing Congo’s Eastern Province.
ADF is a militant group with Ugandan origins and has been using DRC jungles as a base to recruit, train and attack Ugandans.
Since the launch of operation shujaa, the terrorists have been driven out of their hideouts and strongholds including their headquarters at Kambi Ya Yua and an airfield they've been using to receive various forms of supplies.
