Gen Kainerugaba Sends Special Condolence Message to Gen Muhoozi over Mom's Death

The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has sent a special condolence message to the State Minister for Internal Affairs, Gen David Muhoozi upon the death of his mother. 

The late Edinance Kyomugyemo Rubakuba passed away on Monday at the age of 87.

During the funeral mass at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero on Wednesday, Gen James Mugira read out a condolence message from Gen Kainerugaba who had telephoned him the previous night. 

"I would have wished to join you for the send-off of your mom but I will not make it due to urgent state duties. Sorry for the loss and as UPDF, we send our condolences to you and your family," the message reads. 

Gen Kainerugaba in his message recalls how he worked closely with Gen Muhoozi in several operations, especially in South Sudan. 

" He is a calm and very thoughtful person, a good diplomat who is good at handling situations that call for sensitivity and discreetness. May the Almighty God rest her soul in eternal peace," he said. 

The late Edinance Kyomugyemo will be laid to rest in Kakiika, Mbarara on Thursday, 04 April 2024.
