Maj Gen James Birungi Replaces Don Nabasa as SFC Commander

KAMPALA. President Yoweri Museveni who is also the commander in chief of the armed forces has appointed Maj Gen James Birungi the new Special Forces Command boss, replacing  Maj gen Don Nabasa.

Maj Gen Nabasa assumed command of the Special Forces in January 2017, replacing Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba who is currently the senior presidential advisor for special operations.

Maj Gen Birungi has been the Chief of Staff Airforce until his appointment as SFC commander.

A reliable source has told this reporter that Maj Gen Nabasa is going to China for a National Defence Course. This website understands that the President will soon name Maj Gen Birungi's replacement.
