Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah has eulogized fallen NRM director in charge of Mobilization, Mathias Kasamba as a dedicated politician whose personality and genuine love for growth, change and transformation was evident in his work.
Kasamba, a former Member of Parliament and Member of the East African Legislative Assembly died on Tuesday at Nakasero Hospital where he was reportedly admitted with a brain tumor.
“We shared a deep passion for trees and greening Uganda, and had been discussing at length the prospects of expanding coffee production in Northern Uganda,” Oulanyah eulogized.
“I remember when he visited Omoro and actively participated in all our activities. He was a joyous fellow, always bringing laughter and positivity to all that he did. In fact one time, on one of his many visits to Omoro, he danced together with the children and women and they gave him a name. He had now become Okello Matia. I will greatly miss his friendship and wisdom.”
Meanwhile, Government has accepted to accord late Kasamba an official burial, according to the NRM National Treasurer Hon Rose Namayanja Nsereko. Kasamba’s body will be laid to rest on Friday at the deceased's home at Katovu Village, Kakuuto County in Kyotera district.
